Wednesday 23 January 2012 – Conscious Capitalism

This article outlines the importance of moving forward within a socioeconomic context in to an entirely new paradigm… The article reviews a book by the name of Conscious Capitalism. Reshaping our socioeconomic practices will require a combination of commitment to the cause, sincerity, revolutionary innovation and persistence. ‘Business as usual’ is not really going to be an effective tool for achieving economic or social wealth, nor will it be sustainable in any capacity.

As humans, we are awakening to the fact that we are relational beings, to each other and to our natural ecology. It is integral that we begin to move from a society highly geared towards competition to a society that prioritises the intrinsic value of collaboration. It truly is one of the most beautiful stories to tell when as humans we grasp the notion of success via means of sincere collaboration. This truth/reality can only flourish when we embrace change and observe a reality (encompassing all facets of our cultural lives), which demand collective collaboration as its foundation for longevity and success.

Change can be easy, change may also be fruitful. There is abundance for all on this Earth. As a society we are still applying archaic systems to a modern and vastly evolving, conscious society. If we alter and adjust our collective beliefs surrounding what we currently do and enter a thought pattern, belief system and way of functioning that celebrates the value of the people and the value of our natural world; we may find a world that is far prosperous than it currently is… SS.
