Friday 06 April 2012 – Another example of oligopoly

The pressing issues we face in this day and age revolve around systemic abuse of basic ‘life’ rights. These abuses are a direct cause of societal (self created and perpetuating) conditions including but not limited to: our cultural construct; our economic model; abstract and outdated legalities and legislations that prioritise those with abstract legal knowledge backed by money over distributive justice, social justice, equity and procedural justice; our infatuation and prioritisation with the monetary system; corporate greed and oligopoly; pressing geopolitical issues; degradation of our ecological life support systems; excess poverty, famine and disease, which all stem and return full circle back to our cultural practices… Is protest enough or do we require heavier action? If so to what degree and how? SS.
